A A+ A++

Brian and I were in school together, but we are so much closer than that. Owing to language difficulties on behalf of the Catalan priest who presided over my wedding with the PRACTICAL SILESIAN WIFE in Barcelona, I inadvertently got married Brian, my best man. These things happen I suppose, but it goes to show you never know how far a friendship will develop.

In the week of his visit, we embraced several of the many geographical possibilities Silesia has to offer by visiting Karlova Studenka in Czech, boozing in Katowice and pendelino-ing to Warsaw where we attended an exhibition of modern art so utterly awful that we both contemplated joining the French Foreign Legion to try and put it behind us. We didn’t need to do that though. My time in Silesia has been marked by a remarkable and habitual supply of good people who never fail to keep me between the white lines. They lighten the load and massage the annoying little wrinkles in this thing called “life.”
