Nowozelandka Ally Wollaston zdobyła w Brugii pierwszy etap Lotto Belgium Tour.

Zawodniczka AG Insurance – NXTG Team na mecie zameldowała się przed Belgijką Shari Bossuyt oraz Polką Agnieszką Skalniak-Sójką.

Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka, która startuje w drużynie reprezentacji Polski, straciła wywalczoną na prologu koszulkę liderki na rzecz Wollaston.

Pierwszy etap był płaski, a 111-kilometrowa trasa zapowiadała sprinterską rozgrywkę w finale.

Wollaston wygrała po raz drugi w karierze: 21-latka w tym roku triumfowała także na mecie Trophée Harmonie Mutuelle (1.1).
